There are significant violations
of wildlife law in Nepal – both in
the use of wildlife products within
the country and in transborder
trade with other countries – and
offences appear to occur
throughout the country involving
many different species and routes.
Violations are not limited to traders and poachers, but include transgressions – knowingly and unknowingly – by scientists working in National Parks and other protected areas, and tourists purchasing products whose trade is prohibited.
